At approximately 8 miles in total length, the Lenoir Greenway is an excellent area for recreation and serves as a good connector between the east and west sides of Highway 321 with the 321 Underpass.
Zack's Fork Mountain Bike Trail
A unique asset to our area, the Zack's Fork Mountain Bike Trail is a beginner-friendly mountain bike trail in the city limits of Lenoir and accessible from the Lenoir Greenway. Located just a ten minute bike ride from downtown Lenoir, this purpose-built mountain bike trail was designed by Jim Horton, designer and chief trail builder of the Kerr Scott Reservoir Trail System, a designated IMBA Epic Trail, located outside of Wilkesboro, NC. The Zack's Fork Trail echoes many of his design signatures making for a fun, flowy 3.25 mile trail that's perfect for beginner riders and expert alike. The trail can be ridden in either the clockwise or counter-clockwise direction and helmet use is mandatory. You can see more information and check on trail closure information and volunteer trail maintenance days at the Zack's Fork Mountain Bike Trail Facebook page.
